Craig Smith
Senior Support worker with over 20 years experience with Disability Services Queensland and Non Government Organisations. Craig’s experience is varied in this field including Community Access, Behavior Management, Supported Independence Living and Respite Services . Craig has supported people with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Muscular Dystrophy, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Spinal Bifida, Mental Health Issues, Hearing Impaired (trained in basic Makaton), Mobility Issues, Epilepsy, OCD, Speech Impairment and Challenging Behaviors. Craig is also experienced in Hoisting, PEG Feeding, Stoma, Catheter Maintenance, Personal Hygiene, Enemas and Suppositories.
Craig has a Certificate IV in Disability Work and a Certificate II in Sport and Recreation and is regularly updated in First Aid/CPR, Maybo, Protective Actions, Manual Handling, Administering Medication, Managing Clients Financial Affairs, and Fire and Evacuation.
Craig enjoys doing handy work around the house, and loves travel, sport and family.
